I have been grumbling forever that I need a new computer. As I have said before, the current computer is more paper weight than anything else. So yesterday we went to Costco and bought a new computer. We had looked around and not really found anything. So we decided to get one that Costco had in stock. Fast forward to 9:30 p.m and the new computer is all set up. Which would have been fabulous is we were a French speaking family--which we are not. You see, all of the programs were being displayed in French! Now we are talking about Windows Vista here. From what we read, this is a common problem and there are ways to change the language preference. But not in our computer!! We did all the things you are supposed to do and still no change. So Scott phones the Costco tech-support line and is told there is nothing we can do. Well I guess we could learn french;) Arrgghh, so frustrating. There were no signs in Costco saying that these are French-only computers. So back it will go and back to shopping we will go.
Have I mentioned how I hate PC's? I would much rather get a Mac but I am married to a PC. He has this media system set up he wants to hook up. The set up requires a PC, which stinks.
Oh well, one of these days I will get my computer. My English computer:)
